In quell’anno che Gino Bartali vinse e stravinse depistando i cervelli della massa Italiana da un possibile colpo di Stato (attentato a Palmiro Togliatti), non emerse il protagonismo del singolo, ma lo sport nel più ampio significato del termine.

Ma Gino Bartali è nel Giardino dei Giusti, avendo salvato decine e decine di Ebrei in un epoca non proprio giusta per loro.

Ma chi tra gli sportivi si ricorda di questo? Ma chi tra i tecnici dello sport potrebbe emulare tali azioni? Oggi, dove la libertà di stampa e di pensiero forse è più censurata da quella di un regime totalitario di più di mezzo secolo fa?

Ginaccio compì l’impresa, vincendo e distogliendo i pensieri da una politica malata e condizionata dal post bellico per offrire nuova vita, nuova linfa vitale alla ricostruzione della nostra nazione: l’Italia!

Ora ci chiediamo tutti, di quanto l’importanza di far parte del sistema sportivo debba essere ancora manifestata per chi fa sport ed invece assistiamo sempre ai soliti protagonismi, piccoli, futili e personali di satelliti umani che vivono solo ed esclusivamente per il loro ambito, il loro “giardino” quel giardino che non li vedrà mai protagonisti di quello dei Giusti (elevata riconoscenza mondiale solo per pochi).

Queste sono riflessioni da fare, non accontentarci mai! Ripercorrere sempre da protagonisti la nostra vita accettando un invito per una Pappardella al Cinghiale o un caffè con un amico di ampie vedute sotto la grigia pioggia che sa dare la fine di questo maggio 2019. Traendo da questi appuntamenti il gusto della passione nel vivere, nel poter cambiare le cose, nell’arrabattarci per definire un progetto incombente dove non conosciamo nemmeno i contenuti ma memori della nostra preparazione arriviamo in riunione comunque preparati.

Questo è lo sport, questo è il mezzo capace di cambiare veramente le cose, se solo ci convincessimo che possiamo farlo! Perché… lo dobbiamo, se non per noi stessi, per la nostra società che ci rappresenta nel secolo di vita!

Ginaccio accomplished the task, winning and diverting thoughts from a sick and conditioned post-war policy to offer new life, a new lifeblood for the reconstruction of our nation: Italy!

Now we all ask ourselves, how much the importance of being part of the sports system must still be manifested for those who play sports and instead we always witness the usual small, futile and personal protagonisms of human satellites that live only and exclusively for their ambit, their “garden” that garden that will never see them as protagonists of that of the Righteous (high world recognition only for a few).

These are reflections to be made, never be satisfied! Always retracing our lives as protagonists by accepting an invitation for a Pappardella at the Boar or a coffee with a friend of wide views under the gray rain that knows how to give the end of this May 2019. Drawing from these appointments the taste of passion in living, in the being able to change things, in trying to define an impending project where we don’t even know the contents but mindful of our preparation, we arrive in a meeting, however, prepared.

This is sport, this is the means to really change things, if only we convinced ourselves that we can do it! Because… we must, if not for ourselves, for our society that represents us in the century of life!
